Meg Whitman did a campaign full of attack ads, spending more money that
anybody else has EVER spent in history, and still managed to lose to
Governor Moonbeam. Her ads claimed that she created eBay "from a couple
of guys with an idea" - it sure seemed to me to be pretty well established
before she heard of it. Her acquisition of Paypal was a pretty good idea.
Can she finish destroying HP?
She has done pretty well with eBay. I suggest we reserve judgment
for a little while, and hope for the best. Whitman has her faults (BIG
ones) but at least she's reasonably intelligent.
HP has already (sorta) survived the very worst, least-competent CEO
EVER, Carly "hey, I used to be cute and I have a history degree, I'm
qualified!" Fiorina. Yay, let's put a bimbo in charge of one of
history's most important technology companies and see what happens.
