Interesting. That's (kind of) how most of my Kanji-English
dictionaries do lookups; the ones from Kodansha like to do it first
by general structure (top-bottom, left-right, box and irregular),
then by number of strokes on the "primary" radical, then number of
strokes in the rest of the character. Makes it easy enough, but I
have no idea how real Japanese dictionaries do it.
