To get Media Mail rates I had to open the package up
for inspection at
the counter, then reseal it afterwards. So you'd better be prepared for
that - and better to know before you show up with a dozen carefully
sealed and labeled boxes, and no tape...
Yes, they can indeed do that, but I have never seen it.
And don't be too surprised if you encounter an
employee who claims they
"don't do that any more." The link and regulation number Gene supplied
should be handy in such a case.
Mostly you will find an employee that just does not care.
ANY computer media can be sent, as long as it is "used". Send your
McBee cards and BIZMAC tapes - they are covered.
