It did not come with a keyboard, so I have been trying to get something out
of the serial port, I believe that when there is no keyboard attached it
uses the serial port.
As others have said, I can confirm as I've started talking to my U5 within
the last week: You need a null modem cable (cross-over on TX/RX and
RTS/CTS) and set the terminal to 8,n,1 9600bps. The serial ports are
listed "PORT A" and "PORT B", the PORT A is the DB25 that is slightly
higher up in the rear of the chassis, this is the one that console will
come on.
I have mine working with a VT240, currently, without issue.
Anyone have any U5 memory that'd be willing to sell?
