 I don't think that it is the same problem.  I think that Trantor's
 problem was that their external parallel to SCSI gadgets (T338,
 etc.) needed TERMPWR, and some of the existing cables that had the right
 connectors (serial and centronics :-)  didn't pass TermPWR through. 
 
Was there not a situation where, for a time, Trantor's DB-24 pinout
differed from the Mac's?
