I don't know for sure, but I'd bet a dollar it is for an unreleased sheet
feeder.

BTW, since we're on the topic of Atari 8bit
items...does
anyone know what the RJ45-type connector on the rear of the Atari XDM121
printer is used for? The power and SIO connectors are pretty obvious,
but I've never known what the other connector is for.
