One reason that I picked up a bunch of the surplus IBM "Monitor
Saver" gizmos was because of the parts; in particular, they came with
both flavors of mini-DIN to DIN adapters.
If you've got one of the model Ms with the SDL connector as part of
the keyboard, cables in both 5-pin DIN and 6-pin mini-DIN exist;
changing there is a simple matter of swapping a cable.
