I have the 600e.
Right now the battery is dead and won't take a charge.
If I do send the pack out to replace the cells will this
problem come back since it seems to relate to
some charging-logic feature built into the pack design?
See link below for explanation of the "problem"
Gene,
We don't know where you reside, but below Joe has you covered on the East
coast, and here on the "left" coast in California we have a place called
"House of Batteries" sales(a)houseofbatteries.com in Huntington Beach that
can get or make any combination of sizes and chemical makeup. They're 100%
so far in my book. Good luck.
Best regards, Steven

Hope this is not off topic. The computer is over
ten years old.
I have been searching for a place to buy a battery for my Thinkpad 500 and
came a cross a web site called
laptopadapter.com
1. Has anybody dealt with this company and/or have a comment on buying
from
them?
2. Any other suggestion where to get a battery for T500?
Do you have the original battery pack? If so, I'd send it to one of the
places that will take it apart and replace the individual cells and
reassemble the pack. Just be sure they use GOOD cells and not the cheap
