It's true of commuter trains everywhere, I suspect.
Sometimes I miss commuting by train, though: my most gratifying times
were when I could collect disdainful looks from suits obviously offended
at my jeans-and-t-shirt attire, only to see them removed from the first
class compartments when the conductor arrived. My commute lay on an
international line, so lots of business travelers clueless about the
ticketing system and what sections of the train their tickets allowed
them to pick seats on.
