I found EK-KDJ1A-UG-001 "KDJ11-A CPU Module User's Guide," which might help, because unless my memory fails me, the KDJ = 11/73. I didn't immediately find power-up codes in it -- probably because something like MXV11-B2 or other ROM set issues the codes. If I can find an MXV11 doc, I'll post a message. I used to have one. 3.5 inch DSDD diskettes have landed

Greetings -- The diskettes are here, so here are the details: Certron brand, retail packaged. 10 diskettes per box, with inner plactic sleeve and labels. Still shrink-wrapped. I opened two boxes and formatted 6 randomly-selected diskettes without incident. They look and act brand new. They are packed in two different size cartons: 10-box and 42-box. Weight on the 10-box cartons is 4 pounds, and the 42-boxers are 22 pounds. I'm in Orlando FL, zip code 32810. Price per box is $1, minimum 10-box shipment, plus shipping. I'd prefer to ship UPS but will ship USPS media mail upon request. Iomec disc drive ?

Hello, Is there any chance that someone has an Iomec removable platter disk drive? The type that I am looking for uses an IBM 2315 style 2.5Mb cartridge, similar to an RK05. I know that this is a pretty futile request, but it never hurts to ask... --tom

DEC Rainbow 100 website

Emulex SC04 controller... what kind of disk does it talk to?

anyone recognize this puppy? -- yup.. ANSI 8" interface I was VERY happy someone outbid me on it when I discovered what it was.. If someone has a paper copy of the X3.101 spec, i'd like to add it to the archives on spies. It appears to be based on the Shugart/Quantum 8" drive standard but on a single 50 pin connector instead of a 50 and 26.

Radio Shack/Science Fair bonus

I recently won an auction described as a "Science Fair Junior Electronic Lab 10 in 1"... the picture showed a couple of blue grid boards which were, AFAIK, not part of a 10-in-1 It turns out that in addition to the 10-in-1, there was an entire (and a partial) "Science Fair Junior Project Board Kit" (cat no. 28-153) - one manual, two plug boards, one IC board (14-pin socket + 14 springs) plus a double handful of mixed loose components. The components are somewhat interesting from a historical perspective - there are several flavors of transistor sockets, several segmented LED displays (some on PCBs as from an LED calculator, some in DIP form), mercury switches, reed switches, and a bag of resistors with a "King Kits" card from Poly Paks. I'm curious if there's a repository of ancient Radio Shack kit manuals out there - I did not get a manual for the 10-in-1 (cat no. 28-225), but at least I got its box (covered in packing tape, grrr.) -ethan The New Yahoo!
