I am going to guess this is based on a Canon print engine. If so, then the first thing to do is to indentify which one. The PrinterWorks (http://www.printerworks.com/) used to have pictures of printers, exploded diagrams of the mechanism, etc on their website. They probably still do. Alternatively, does it take the same toner cartridge as any more common (HP, for example) printer?
