I picked up a couple of old CPM disks that are marked "CPM Startup for
ZVX4" and "SCS-D07-1". These were made by Sorrento Vally Associates,
Sorrento Vally Rd, San Diego and have 1980 and 1982 dates. Does anyone know
what kind of system they're for?

SVA sold 8-inch floppy controllers for the Apple ][, so it could be the
Softcard CP/M support for those.

Thanks for the clue. But I should have added that these are 5 1/4"
disks. Perhaps they also sold a 5 1/4" drive controller.

No, but if you bought a new 8-inch drive from them, and your operating
system came on 5 1/4" disks, you needed the drivers to be supplied on
5 1/4" disks.

Sorrento Valley Associates made an 8" drive unit for the Apple ][ !

Sorrento Valley Associates used to do a lot of software for Altos, though
those are not obviously Model(?) numbers that I would associate with an
8" drive Altos.
