Sure.
  The way to build a wall is to stack them not all the
same way round.  The most
 stable method is probably LRRLLRRLL..., but LRLRLR would probably work (L and R
 meaning Macs facing Left and Right respectively) 
LLRR wouldn't work.  You'd have an unstable zigzag. LRLR is far more
optimal.
