I've used denatured ethanol to clean off soldering flux--it seems to
work better than isopropanol, but still leaves a sticky powdery
residue around. Perc washes it all off.
There's a YouTube video comparing a Perc degreaser to a "non
chlorinated" green substitute made with isopropanol and acetone.
No comparison at all. The "green" stuff is garbage.
