So I live here in michigan and most things are a 4-6 hour drive away
from me.
I live near Flint Michigan, and there is quite a nice conference center
and hotel in Birch Run Michigan, about 15-20 miles north of Bishop
International Airport.
Of course it would be open to all types of CCMP Gear. For those of you
into telephones, The Montrose Telephone Museum is worth a visit and is
about 9 miles from the hotel/conference center.
Just tell me your thoughts on this, Since we have VCFMW in the fall
and VCF East in early spring/summer. I thought a Winter event would
work pretty darn good

New subject: VCF East "9.1", was: Any Interest in a Michigan based computer festival
VCF East in early spring/summer.
Speaking of which, VCF East will probably be April 5-6 next year. We are
calling it "9.1" because Sandy-related issues prevented us from
producing 9.0 this year. :)
Thinking aloud: How will we top 8.0, which featured Apple's Dan Kottke
and ** the inventor of BASIC ** ....? I don't know yet, but we are
aiming high!

There's ALWAYS an interest in more shows. I live near Indy, which about 5 hours from
Flint, but would consider going there for a show. I went to VCF Southeast, in Atlanta,
which was about 10 hours, so 5 hours would be piece of cake :)
I really hope to get to VCF East soon. It's a LONNNGG way from me.
