Hi,
May have a line on one of those... I know they're interesting, I've heard
they have something resembling an operator panel, but I've never actually
seen one and I can't find any pics on the web... can anybody point me to
some?

I have a 4956-K00 with the programming panel. There's an old picture
at http://jrollins.tripod.com/s1.html. Now that I have a nice new 2mp
digital, I suppose I should upgrade those old QuickCam and Apple
QuickTake pictures. I haven't updated my web site in probably a year
and a half, and that was just deleting some old email addresses, and
there are still way too many broken links. Most of the content is
over 2 years old and badly out of date. In fact, the last time I
updated the Series/1 page was over 2 1/2 years ago! Time to break out
an HTML book again, I guess.

I don't know where to find pictures, but they are either a single- or
double-wide 19" IBM rack with a bunch of very IBM-ish looking modules.
Pretty nondescript. If you pick it up and are interested in playing with
it, I have access to a full set of software and schematics.
