cctech is a pointless mailing list. It was supposed to stop off-topic
postings but the concept wasn't thought out very well. Hence, no traffic.
Everything is going on at cctalk. I suggest you switch.

No.

Well, messages to CCTECH are moderated, but will get forwarded directly to
CCTALK without any approval required.

Fairly simple...
When you post to ccTech, (assuming it's on-topic) it gets passed on to
ccTalk shortly thereafter.
If you post off topic to ccTech, it's goes to /dev/null.
Messages sent to ccTalk stay in only ccTalk, and never see ccTech.
Currently, I am subscribed to both, so I do see messages duplicated.
But, I can easily have those filtered to a different folder than the
ccTalk messages. Or set my ccTech subscription to not deliver messages
to me.
That way, when I respond to something in my ccTech folder, I know it
will go back to that list...

you will basically be subscribed to a mostly dead list. So
unfortunately, cctalk is your only alternative, and you'll just have to

with it.
