I've heard the area around Cambridge, UK, referred to as
"Silicon Fen". The Fens are a low-lying area of
countryside near Cambridge.
Also, in Scotland there's "Silicon Glen". Somewhere near
Edinburgh, I think. Possibly referring to the HP works
there.
