I looked through bitsavers and saw the articles you mentioned and I'm still a little lost. I'm looking over the jumper and dip switch settings and I'm not seeing any solid matches. I also don't trust going off other components that use the same design and try their jumpers. I tried that with an MFM card and it turns out that there were some changes between revisions and The card has never worked right since.
