It was recently pointed out to me that my DECwriter II (LA36) has
holes drilled on the bottom of the stand to accept pads or casters.
Does anyone know the measurement and thread size of those holes? I'm
willing to use DIY-store parts to make these beasts mobile. No
DEC-original parts needed.
The DECwriter III (LA120) also appears to have the same holes. Are
they the same size as the LA36's?
Worst case, they can go on furniture dollies, but I'd like to try
doing it "right" first.

I pretty sure they were both the same. I'll try to find a set here and
measure them when I get a chance and look for a part # if you want it

Great, thanks. I realized that while the LA36 has nothing attached to
the legs, my LA120 has the "pads". So I can probably unscrew one of
those and take it to Home Depot to test with the "find-a-bolt"
display. With some luck, DEC used a sensible bolt size and
off-the-shelf wheels or casters will fit.
Ah ha - looks like the LA36 parts breakdown guide lists "Wheel,
caster" as part 74-11826-00. However there is "Wheel assembly," also,
which is 70-09751-00.
Earlier tonight I had found an accessory number LXX-something, for
what I thought was the caster kit. Now I can't turn it up.
