Yes, they just picked up the collection for free somewhere, and are throwing out all the "unusable" parts to make a work of "art" and asking loads of money for it. Basically their mission states: "100% responsible upcycling from outdated (parts) from collections. Adding value to artefacts which once carried value." You mean they got people with pitchforks and torches waiting outside of their "workshop" ? :P:P In all seriousness I think that they were also violating some laws, since the handling of special wastes is quite strictly regulated (and whatever we can say, any old computer or relatively old typewriter has likely a good amount of substances that would have to be properly handled if melted, pulverized, etc.).
