Many of the ones listed as Indy-specific are merely lacking a boot file for
Indigo and earlier systems. I installed 5.3 onto the Indigos in the next
room from "IRIX 5.3 for Indy including R5000", having booted the miniroot
from an older release.
Also, if anyone has a source for 8MB simms, keyboards,
and mice I'd be
interested.
You can upgrade a 4MB SIMM to an 8MB one very easily -- just add the chips
and change one (? IIRC) SMD resistor.

Here are the versions I've identified for use on those systems:
- IRIX 5.3 All Indigo2 IMPACT (813-0119-010)
- IRIX 6.2 with Indigo2 IMPACT 10000 (813-0469-002)
IRIX 6.5 seems to be much more universal.

I haven't done much fiddling, but the prom reports no files on one HDD and
claims sash and ide are not executables on the other. So no booting past
the prom yet. :(
