The fan is made by ebm-papst, part number

variably controlled for RPMs, and then it has a tach output. These
feed back to a motherboard.
Is there any possibility of retrofitting a new 3214J-series fan with
the added componentry? For example, I've discovered that many 2-wire
NMB fans have a tach output on the PCB; the tach wires are simply
left off. I don't know if the same is true for Papst, however.
