I did not say it was.... The Dover was a SLOT (Scanned Laser Output Terminal) using the
EARS protocol (Ethernet, Alto, Research character generator, Scanned laser output
terminal).
The Dover Laser Printer however was used with the Xerox Alto.
Was the 9700 the first Xerox Interpress Laser printer, I don't know.
