Guys,
We have decided that the 7090 artifacts should go to the National Museum of Computing at
Bletchley Park, England.
Partly for patriotic reasons: the use the computer was put to in the UK. Also, we decided
it is what the owner, a British pioneer of medical computing, would have wanted. Lastly,
TNMOC assured me that they would be prepared to make copies availble of anything requested
by outside museums and collectors. The items should be with them by the start of October
2012.
It was good to discover that two complete 7090s with support documentation is available in
the US and Australia. That also weighed on the decision. I do hope they will one day be
reactivated, when I will be delighted to come and have a look around!
Kind regards,
peter vp
