And make in incompatible with existing doughnut boxes.
That was the old IBM. Now they would design a fully standards-compliant
doughnut, release it as Open Source, and include a license to their doughnut
patents (provided that you didn't change the recipe by more than 20%).
IBM is playing by somewhat different rules now that Microsoft is dominating
the industry.
