earthquake in L.A. a few years ago. Is the bottom case half black or
grey-blue color? Mine was black.

Same here, off-white (stone?) on top, black on bottom. The seller forgot
to bring the AC adapter with him, so I have to go pick it up before I can
see that weird display light up.
