I'm looking for AAA-sized rechargeable batteries. Good capacity would
be nice, but the main thing I'm looking for is that it should be able to
supply a fairly high peaky current draw.
Any suggestions?

Ah, I see. I would guess lithium ion. Powerful enough to run laptops.
At the BP store in Whippany, N.J., there's a technician whose name is (get
this) Maven. He usually has excellent advice on these things.
