If I remember right (it's been many years), turbo switching was actually performed from the keyboard. Try hitting CONTROL ALT +? to enter turbo mode. (Use the + sign on the 10-key) If that doesn't work, try various control combinations, including sequences ending with Page Up / Page Down.
