Veronica was available from 1993 to actual date... but the supposed
ftp server where it is available is closed (not simply down). The directory
where the source code was located was named 'veronica-code' or
'veronica-data'.
Archie is more difficult to locate, I think. This was developed in McGill
university, CA, and they sell the program in 1993 to Bunyip
Information Systems. This company retire the support for the program
in 1998, cause of "lack of support and source code" :-)
But, until that date, the source code was available in the servers of
McGill,
in appeareance in archie.cs.mcgill.ca. I've tried in ftp.cs.mcgill.ca, but
it
requires password for the Anonymous user !
And, about the Archie servers, only one of all the available in the world
some years ago is registered... but down actually.
I shall agree all the support received.
Thanks and Greetings
Sergio

should agree to obtain one copy.
It might help if you mentioned what time frame these were available (I'm
thinking 7-10 years since they were last widely used). A bunch of us no
doubt have CD's of old Unix programs laying around. I'm not sure where most
of mine are at the moment though.
