Anything special to get this thing to turn on? I'm assuming the PSU
doesn't work, or has issues, but I've not tried to figure it out yet.
Just wondering if it won't turn on because there is no tape loaded, etc.
There is probably something wrong with it, but thought I'd ask.

...no, it schould power up w/o anything todo additionally.
The VFD should ad least display something about tests etc.
I have such a thing and it still has some ugly PSU Problems.
If the unit is in standby and the fan is not working, parts of the psu are
overheating, otherwise my unit is working.
I haven't looked at it for about one and a half year, no time..
If you could get schematics or a servicemanual for it, I would be
interested too..
