In the past I've expressed my desire for a complete and better archive of Usenet news. I mentioned Michael Stutz <stutz(a)dsl.org> who wanted the same thing. He's composed a web page about it, including the latest Deja/Google news. See his rough notes at http://dsl.org/comp/archives.shtml . He has a nice collection of links to the sprinkling of news archives throughout the net. There's hope yet!
