Hi Alexandre, Thanks!
Sorry, I don't have any of the Z53C80 chips. However there are several
compatible chips such as the AMD 53C80, L53C80, NCR 53C80 (not the NMOS 5380
though) etc.
UTSOURCE.NET is a good place for obtaining these chips. Also there may be
other builders on the N8VEM-S2I discussion group who have excess/spare
chips.
We really need some "diversity testing" to shake out the firmware/software
on non-PC machines.
It seems to work great as a pseudo-Seagate ST125N connected to a PC but
there are a whole lot more SCSI-1 environments out there and that's where
the need for this project is the most great.
The nice part about the F/OSS firmware/software/hardware is it lends itself
to infinite customization. Unfortunately that also means we do it all
ourselves...
I appreciate your help! Thanks and have a nice day!
Andrew Lynch

BTW, I was trying to find the Z53C80 here in Brazil...nothing. Mind
sending
me one in the package? All the rest I have around
Thanks
