Before ewaste was cheaper to ship overseas I am sure quite a bit of it ended up in US landfills. Sooner or later those landfills will be dug up and recycled since it will be cheaper then digging 5 miles into the earth looking for it, plus anything currently junked will go straight to be recycled and reused.
