I prefer sequence numbers punched in columns 72 to 80, along with a line or lines drawn on
the top edge of the deck.  With sequence numbers, you could use unit record equipment to
re-order them.

     Do you also find sorting dropped boxes of punched cards to be relaxing?

I do, as long as there was a diagonal line drawn across the top of them
before they were dropped.
