I actually have code running in this! (Interrupt and exception handling code.) The Advanced/36 uses an early version of SLIC (System Licensed Internal Code) used on the RISC based AS/400s sold today. Back when the RISC based AS/400s were being developed, somebody wrote an emulator for the System/36. We could easily emulate a System/36 with the new hardware, and give a lot of businesses a few more years with their software investment.
