In fact, it was a full 5 years after getting the T/S-1000 in 1982 before I was able to afford a better system, and it ended up being a Tandy 1000HX in 1987. My interest in these systems is from the standpoint that I'm finally getting the chance to fool with ones I kept reading about, but was never able to buy or use.
