1 Beige White 64K 6502 Not capable of double hi-res mode
2 Grey Black 64K 6502 Double hi-res with 128K
3 Grey Black 128K 65c02 Enhanced
4 Platinum Black 128K 65c02 "Platinum" model, numeric keypad
I need to take a look at the guts to check those things out What I am
finding is:
You'll find that:
Style 1 - Top cover has a "velcro" style
latch
This is "Rev 1" above.
Style 2 - Top cover has what appears to be shielding
along the back side
with aluminum bottom
Style 3 - Top cover has what appears to be shielding along the back side
with steel bottom
Most likely "Rev 2" and "Rev 3" respectively.
Style 4 - Has a numeric keypad built into the case
This is "Rev 4".
Additionally on the early machines, there seem to be
two styles of keycaps
with large and small Apple Icons.
I don't think there were any models shipped with the old style Apple ][
velcro fastener hood and the new style Apple //e keyboard. In other
words, the style that has the velcro snaps also always had the old style,
beige/white keyboard. I don't think I know of any exceptions. Let me
know if you find this to not be the case with your lot.
