Way back when, the company bought a 2032 for stock control and invoicing, used for 5 years or so. After about a year it continually needed opening up and the chips reseating, got so frustrated with this that we replaced ALL the Ic sockets with "turned pin" types and never had anymore problems with that machine ever again.
