I just got back from spending 2 1/2 days at the Orlando hamfest. I made
quite a haul but here is my best find by far!

of a certain nameless CC Lister in Southern Georgia. I'm just hoping I'll
get to see it again!
Besides that nice trinket I also got two Gould logic analyzers, a
MicroMint Std-bus computer, some Multibus card cages, some good data books,
a Data I/O 19 EPROM programmer with a GangPak plug in and the PAL
programmig plug-ins, an Intel iUP 201 EPROM programmer, a 5 Mb Bernoulli
box for the MacIntosh (in it's original box with three new sealed
cartridges), an Alphapro 101 daisy wheel printer that's also in it's
original box, and finally a 16 Mb Matrox G4+ AGP video card for $20.

Yep, had a great time at the hamfest down there. Great seeing Joe and
Glenn! I'll give a more detailed report tomorrow. I've gotta go back and
play with a computer that I, ummm, dont have.

Nice. Did you get any unusual docs or accessories with it? I've had
a VIP for years, but never did much more with it than type in CHIP-8
and some of the games in the manual. I always wanted to play with the
expansion port, but got sidetracked by other projects first (like trying
to hook the VIP up to a DEC VR-201 with no success or building an external
keyboard for my Elf).
Did RCA make any hardware for the VIP expansion ports? Did anyone else?

I was trying to locate the booklet. I saw it as recently as a couple
weeks ago but can't remember where I put it in the meantime.
However, I have archived e-mail messages about this since I made copies
for someone before.
The manual that describes the modules is called:

New subject: 2708 programmer
Those among you who use S-100 hardware and need to program the old 2708's
might want to look at this:

Nope, no docs unfortunately. But Mike has tons of Cosmac stuff and I'm
sure he has all the docs. Go look at his website at
<http://personal.lig.bellsouth.net/lig/d/o/dogas/cosmac/>. It's loaded!
The seven magazines in the picture are some that I had around the house and
all have articles about the Cosmac. At least four of them have construction
articles and I think another has a construction article about building a
memory expansion card.

Expansion for the VIP? I've been to the site - there's some info there,
but not much on the VIP itself.
I have the PE articles on the Elf; I have the original Quest Elf docs; I
have nearly all the RCA VIP docs. What I don't have is any info on
extra goodies on the VIP (nor docs on the RCA terminal, but that's
another story).
