included pictures of piles of 9-track tapes of LANDSAT data, some of the
stacks were used to block open the door to the tape library. Humidity and
heat are big problems for tape.
I don't know if they still do, but back in '93 there was a building on the
WNY in DC that had a simular problem. BUT the problem was punch cards. Do
you have any idea how *bad* punch cards can smell if they draw moisoture
and start havning a mildew problem?
