This thread is a good indication of why we need some sort of register of machines, by serial number, including "mutt" machines made from bits of others. Most classic cars have registrys devoted to them, so why not classic computers? A PDP-8/I one would be interesting, for example. Plus, if the members were willing to provide their e-mail addresses, it would centralize the knowledge of who has, say, extra boards or manuals... Just a thought...
