What did

A System/29, I think. According to the back of the AMD data book, this is
a 8080-based computer running AMDOS (a bit like CP/M) used as a
cross-development system for the 2900-series bit-slice chips. Physcially
it looked a bit like an Intel MDS.
Damn! If I found these in any place other than the Salvation Army (one of
the nationwide US charitable thrift stores) I would have found the
computer that went with them. The Salvation Army is notoriously bad at
separating out stuff.
No I don't have one (yet). But it's a machine
I would like, due to my
interest in the 2900-series chips.
Well, its on my wants list now. According to the bait corollary to
whoever's collecting theorem, the System/29 should be showing up anytime
now :)
