My only order ever to Unicorn was for some TTL
parts back on 22nd of
June.
I tweaked them a month later and got a reply that parts were back
ordered,
would ship in a week or so. Last I heard from them.
I have have had fair luck with them. The only snag I have had so far
is I got substituted chips; MB7124's instead of 74S472's.
What is your experience with Unicorn? Did they
actually ship parts to
you?
Their prices are good, but I would pay a little more to get parts I need.
Or at least an "out of stock" notice after 7 weeks of waiting.
I have yet to place my big order for all the chips & sockets I need. Right
now I designing with in stock parts so hopefully I will not have back
ordered
parts. Other than Card-Edge connectors , 512x8 Prom & 16Kx4 static ram,
I can second source most of the parts from B.G. Micro.Jameco has the other
parts but I would use 32K x 8 ram when I build my memory card.
