segments Has someone else answered this? I can't remember. Anyway: Impedance of Etehernet coax is 50 ohms; impedance of video coax should be 75 ohms. You will get slight ghosting from reflections etc. if your leads are longer than a few feet. More importantly, 75 ohm BNC connectors are not quite the same mechanically as 50 ohm ones. Plug in the wrong combination and you get slight mechanical damage or a poor contact (can't remember which is which. I think it's 50 ohm plug in 75 ohm socket => mechanical damage, 75 ohm plug in 50 ohm socket => poor contact) It might work in a pinch but it's not recommended. Philip.
