It is VERY easy to remove the platen, and to remove the entire mechanism
from both the upper and lower case. It can be done in about 20 seconds.
Yes, I've found how easy it is to remove the platen, and the rest of
the case comes off pretty easily *if* I'm not averse to getting grease
and what seems to be gunky old black glue all over my hands. Thanks!
