Have you ever taken your sparcbook apart? What model? I had my tadpole (1?) up and
running *JUST* long enough to reset the root password and get in and get all proud before
a pop and the backlight went out. Now it's hard to see out of direct light (yeah I
can still get in via serial) but still I've heard they're near impossible to open
up.

Stuff is all glued together in the early versions. Almost impossible to
get all back together right even if you manage to not break something
opening it. I wont open one again. I am at 0% now in repairing them and
it's been more than one.
Most of the batteries are leaking now too. Last couple I ran into were
basically melted inside from all the acid. I'm done messing with
SPARCBooks for good.
