Thanks for the information, Tony. Upgrading the drives is not a problem
since I have access to many types of drives. In fact, I recently had some
trouble finding a drive *ancient* enough to work with the 1770 i/f.

What kind of "ancient" drives are you looking for? I scrounge up old
drives all the time. I found nine hh Mitsubishi 8" floppy drives a few
weeks ago and an 8" Quantum hard drive last week. I found a power supply
and the connectors for a pair of 8" floppy drives today.
