Depends on the system and whether I'm doing it for fun or just to get a task
done with. Generally, I like to know, but not in this case. The difference
between reasons and excuses is little, and I'm not at all interested in
excuses.

??? Okay, so you have to integrate the card into the
system yourself, and
that setup utility gives you the information and control you need to do it.

If it's got its own BIOS, it could just as well exist outside of the
computer, as long as it's supplied with +5 and 12V.
