hoping for 1 port and a tiny box.
8 port terminal servers are quite common and they're generally about the
size of an 8 port ethernet hub/switch. A 1:1 serial to ethernet device
would certainly have its uses, but once you start dealing with more than
say... four serial consoles... a proper terminal server is the way to
go. Otherwise you're going to end up needing a bigger ethernet switch
for all those separate ethernet cables.
